Theo Parrish 2023 Tour
Washington D.C.-born, Chicago-raised DJ, producer, selector, arranger, keyboard clunker, machine beater, writer, sculptor, car lover, visual artist, lecturer, and father Theo Parrish returns to Oceania this Spring.
Founder of Detroit house label Sound Signature, Parrish has been immersed and recognised in the city’s creative community since 1995 - the era of Buy Bite Records, Saint Andrew’s Hall, the Rhythm Kitchen and Alvin’s. He began manufacturing vinyl independently on his imprint in 1997, and since then Parrish continuously engages, challenges and redefines the limits of Black dance music, serving as an example of creative independence.
Heavily involved in the underground scene, Parrish’s production and DJ sets risk it all - unafraid to put out exactly what’s within him, regardless of whether it sculpts to a particular genre or style. His dynamism behind the decks and passion for uplifting homegrown talent from Detroit’s music scene has garnered respect of music enthusiasts worldwide.
Catch his return from October with stops at Potato Head in Bali, The Eighty Six Festival in Naarm, The Civic Wintergarden in Tāmaki and City Recital Hall in Warrang
